Chrome is extremely perceptive and tuned in to people. He is a dedicated psychotherapy horse, as he cannot be ridden. He had been a ranch horse in Colorado until an accident where he fractured a bone in a front leg. He is now eleven years old.

Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) is an innovative, transformative and solution- focused program utilizing the natural herd dynamics of horses as co-facilitators. Our professional team consists of an EAGALA Certified Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, an Equine Specialist and the horses. This type of learning approach is experiential in nature. We offer a unique non-riding experience with horses.

Extended Care & Outpatient Rehab Available at Prominence
Prominence Treatment Center California now offers extended long term residential sober living for our clients. While we acknowledge that a traditional Twelve Step program can be used for continued maintenance, one of the main issues that inhibits so many from obtaining success in such a program is that a large focus is based on dredging though past failures and shortcomings. Re-enforcing the negative view that many of our patients already hold of themselves only leads to further thoughts of doubt and hopelessness. Inner anger and depression thrive on pessimism, low self worth and negative self talk. We can and will inspire just the opposite.
Prominence Treatment Center is designed to re-store the patient’s dignity and integrity by promoting self worth, self discovery and introspective happiness. Optimism in regards to the future leads to replacing negative, self-destructive thoughts based on fear and regret with the projection of a positive, meaningful life.
It is of great importance that each patient becomes able to view themselves as a valuable individual capable of achieving their goals and finding inner peace. Implementing strategies of empowerment will further open the door to change and success in our therapeutic environment. Strong emphasis on personnel freedom from ones past lifestyle choices takes away from the patient’s feelings of dread and insecurity while our “moving forward philosophy" drives our patients further away from previous failures and into the perspective of a positive outcome.
Through professional, motivational life counseling/coaching our clients are enlightened to the fact that previous failures do not dictate future success.
